WP2 – Conceptualization

WP2 – Conceptualization

Requirements, state of the art, use-case analysis and overall technical architecture of the COSA framework.

Duration

M1–M12

Objectives

  • Detail the requirements of the project together with its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyse the state of the art to incorporate the latest advances in the fields of all COSA components.
  • Define and detail the use cases that will validate the work to be developed in WP3.
  • Design the overall technical architecture of the COSA framework.

Description of work

T2.1 – Definition of the COSA project requirements (M1–M6)

Detailed specifications for the COSA framework components: data acquisition, prediction of environmental changes, analysis of aerial photographs, planning and execution of treatments using drones, optimisation of irrigation and route planning, and the underlying data privacy, security and quality requirements.

T2.2 – State of the Art on smart collaborative agriculture (M1–M6)

Research the latest advances in the areas of the components defined in T2.1. Close collaboration with T2.1 ensures that the KPIs defined for each component of the COSA system are aligned with what is realistically achievable given the current state of the art.

T2.3 – Use Cases Analysis (M4–M12)

Detailed analysis of the use cases. The goals and requirements are developed in accordance with T2.1. The verification methods and plans are also initiated within this task and refined in WP4.

T2.4 – Technical architecture (M7–M12)

Design of the general system architecture, based on intelligent components able to predict environmental changes, to analyse aerial photographs and detect abnormal conditions, to plan and execute treatments, to optimise irrigation and routing, and to do all of this while preserving data privacy and security.

Deliverables

  • D2.1 — COSA concept (M12). The deliverable includes all the major aspects of the platform architecture as defined in T2.4, and a detailed description of the use cases on which the developed components of the platform will be verified and validated.
