On 26 June 2026, the COSA – Collaborative Framework for Smart Agriculture project successfully concluded with the Agri Innovation Summit, hosted in Tăuții-Măgherăuș, Romania.
The event brought together researchers, doctoral candidates, entrepreneurs, public authorities, technology experts, and representatives of academia to celebrate three years of research and collaboration while exploring the future of smart agriculture and regional innovation.
Throughout the day, participants discussed the digital transformation of agriculture and regional development, explored innovative research projects and real-world technological applications, and discovered how artificial intelligence, IoT, drones, and data-driven solutions are shaping the future of sustainable farming.
A special highlight of the event was the “Pitch Your PhD” competition, where doctoral candidates presented their research in concise, engaging talks to a multidisciplinary jury and audience, demonstrating how academic research can generate real impact for society and industry.
The summit concluded with reflections on the achievements of the COSA project, which during its three-year implementation delivered scientific publications, innovative digital platforms, smart agriculture solutions, and strengthened collaboration between academia, industry, and public institutions.
