The COSA project was presented today at the Conferința Cercetării și Inovării UTCN 2026 — the annual research and innovation conference of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, held on 21 May 2026 at HUB UTCN, Str. George Barițiu nr. 4-6, Cluj-Napoca.
The conference brought together the representative research projects of the university — those finalized in the period 2025–June 2026, with total budgets above one million lei. COSA was presented by Prof. Dr. Habil. Eng. Oliviu Matei in the afternoon session dedicated to completed research projects, alongside other flagship projects of UTCN: DEDALUS (Tudor Cioară), ATHENA (Doina Pîslă), EMPOWER (Teodor Ștefănuț), the Centre of Excellence in Computer Assisted Systems for Drug Dosing (Cristina Mureșan), NZC (Bogdan Varga), DECIDE (Lucian Bușoniu), ASKLEPIOS (Călin Vaida), LIFE (Denisa Șteț) and DiTArtIS (Claudia Marțiș).
The presentation highlighted the main results of the COSA project — over 30 scientific publications including 6 Q1 journal papers, the three public platforms developed within the project (Land Bonitation, AEGIS Smart Specialization and the Local Producer Marketplace), the three use cases validated end-to-end, and the team of researchers, postdocs and PhD students that built the project.
The day also included a poster session showcasing the work of UTCN’s doctoral students and concluded with the official ceremony of awarding the PhD diplomas.
